Text. 1 Narrative
The Princess and the Bowling Ball
Once upon a time there was a Prince. And this Prince’s dad and mum somehow got it into their royal heads that no princess would be good enough for their boy unless she could feel a pea trough one hundred mattresses .
So it should come no surprise that the Prince had a very hard time finding a Princess. Every time he met a nice girl, his mum and dad would pile one hundred mattresses on top of a pea and then invite her to sleep over.
When the Princess came down for breakfast, the queen would ask, “How did you sleep dear?”.
the Princess would politely say, “Fine, thank you.” And the King would show her to the door.
Now this went for three years. And of course nobody ever felt the pea under on hundred mattresses .Then the Prince set up a plan. He invited a Princess to sleep over in the palace. The Prince told her what must she said in the next morning.
When the Princess came down for breakfast the next morning, the Queen asked, “ How did you sleep, dear?”.
“This might sound odd” said the Princess. “But I think you need another mattress. I felt like I was sleeping on a lump as big as bowling ball.”
The King and Queen were satisfied, and the Prince and The Princess were married. And everyone lived happily, though maybe not completely honestly, ever after.

Nuclear Energy
Nuclear energy is the energy contained in nucleus, or centre, of an atom. It is the most powerful from of energy that exists. Only in this century have scientists learned how to obtain nuclear energy. They have put it to constructive uses, as in electric power stations. They have also put it destructive uses, as in the atomic bomb and hydrogen bomb.
Sometimes nuclear energy is called atomic energy because it is obtained from atoms. This is not a good choice of words. Other forms of energy can also be obtained from atoms. For example, chemical energy, also, comes from atoms. But it comes from reactions outside the atomic nuclei, nuclei is the plural of nucleus. Chemical energy is released when coal, oil, gas and other fuels are burned.
An atomic-bomb explosion shows how powerful nuclear energy is. You have probably read of nuclear explosion described in terms of megatons, or million of tons of TNT. You may have known that TNT is the abbreviation of trinitrotoluene. It means a high explosive.
The breakdown, or fission, or uranium atom supplies about 2 percent of the world’s energy requirements. Fission releases tremendous amount of heat, which can be used to make steam to drive electric generators.

Text 3 Discussion .
Having a Large Family
A marriage couple at present day usually has one or two children only. Comparing to the old time, a family usually has many children; four or five children minimally. Which one is more advantages ? having a few or many children?
For those who support a large family, having a large family get a lot of benefits. When the outing times is come, for example, picnics, visits and trips are much more enjoyable in a larger group. There is also more help available if any work or chores need to be done. In times of trouble, too, more heads are often better than fewer.
For those who are against having a large family, large family means more mouths to feed and more bodies to clothe. The family may have to sacrifice the education of some of the children in order to further that of the others, or even sacrifice the education of all children for survival of the family. If the father is the sole bread-winner, an unfortunate accident which prevents him from working may plunge the whole family into despair and helpless.
In summary, having a large family should be considered again
